Pick up a beer or a bite to eat at Grünerløkka Brygghus. With ten or more of their own beers on tap and food available, it is the perfect local stop to start your evening. The walk from Sofienbergparken is just five minutes.
15:38
Walk to Sofienbergparken. As the largest park in Grünerløkka, it is a hub of activity with ball-playing and picnics. Arrive here ten minutes before sunset to find a good spot on the grass or near the children's area as the sky changes color.
15:48
Watch the sun set toward the SW. The golden light fades into the evening over the park, marking the transition from day to night in the neighborhood.
16:18
Head to Schouskjelleren for dinner and a drink. This microbrewery in the basement of the former Schous brewery serves about half house-made beers. It is a nine-minute walk from the park and offers a cozy atmosphere as the night deepens.
17:18
End the evening at Blå. Walk up the river from the center for eleven minutes to this venue. If it is a Sunday, you can catch a free jazz, blues, or soul concert. Otherwise, check their event calendar for concerts with international and Norwegian bands or DJs.
Local tip
Sofienbergparken is especially active on weekends, so expect more people if you visit then. Schouskjelleren is open until late, making it a reliable spot for a post-sunset drink.
