Grab a quick bite at Sushi Deluxe. It is just two minutes from Helvete, so you can eat while the light is still bright and warm.
20:19
Walk into Helvete. The building that once housed Euronymous’s record shop is now Neseblod Records, an unofficial museum to the early black metal scene. Spend this time absorbing the history before the light changes.
20:34
Move into Middelalderparken, a ten-minute walk southwest of the landmark. This park holds the ruins of medieval Oslo. As the sun sets toward the WNW, the golden light hits the stone ruins and the surrounding greenery, creating a stark and beautiful contrast.
21:04
End the evening at Olympen. It is an eight-minute walk from the park. This large venue in east Oslo serves classic Norwegian food and has a beer hall atmosphere, perfect for warming up after the chill of the evening air.
Local tip
Sushi Deluxe closes at 22:00, so arrive early. Middelalderparken is open late, but the ruins are best viewed in the fading light. Olympen is open until 03:00 on Fridays and Saturdays, or 24:00 on other days.
