Best time: noneAbout 90 min

Timeline

  1. 10:00

    Funky Fresh Foods

Start at Funky Fresh Foods for a quiet breakfast or coffee in a unique architectural space overlooking the Aker river. The views are clear and the atmosphere is calm before the midday rush.

  2. 10:40

    Hjula weaving mill

Walk 13 minutes north-northeast along the river path to the Hjula weaving mill. These striking industrial buildings at the waterfall are a legacy of Oslo's manufacturing past. The walk follows the green corridor, passing small waterfalls and old industrial facilities.

  3. 11:00

    Villa Paradiso Lilleborg

Continue 26 minutes north-northeast to Villa Paradiso Lilleborg. This cafe and pizzeria sits in one of the previous factory buildings in the Lilleborg area, where a soap factory was established in the mid-1800s. It is a perfect spot to end the walk with a slice of pizza or a drink.

Local tip

The river path is pedestrian-friendly, but wear comfortable shoes as the route covers some distance between the industrial sites.
