Omaha Evening: Golden Light and Late Night Drinks

Catch the last warm light of the day at the riverfront, then settle in for a steak dinner and a nightcap.

Best time: 18:42About 210 min

Timeline

  1. 17:00

    Hook and Lime

Grab a slice of pizza and a drink to go. Hook and Lime is just a minute’s walk from the theater and opens at 10:00, giving you plenty of time to eat before the sun goes down.

  2. 17:42

    The RiverFront

Walk fifteen minutes southeast to The RiverFront. This urban park stretches along the Missouri River and offers a clear, unobstructed view toward the west. Find a spot on the grass or near the edge to watch the sky change color.

  3. 18:42

    The RiverFront

Watch the sun set toward the west. The light fades quickly after this moment, so stay for the transition into twilight.

  4. 19:12

    Spencer's for Steaks and Chops

Head back toward the theater area (a short walk northwest) for dinner. Spencer’s for Steaks and Chops is thirteen minutes away on foot. It is open until 10:00 PM on weekdays and 10:00 PM on weekends, so you have time to enjoy a proper meal after dark.

  5. 20:12

    Lefty's

End the night with a drink at Lefty’s. This bar is only one minute from the theater and stays open until 2:00 AM. It is the perfect place to wind down after a full evening out.

Local tip

The RiverFront replaced the older Gene Leahy Mall, so the space is new and open. Check the route back to the theater if you are unfamiliar with the neighborhood layout after dark.
