Timeline

  1. 16:19

    Lauritzen Gardens

Stroll through the exhibits while the afternoon light is still bright enough to see the plant details clearly. The garden is open until 17:00 on weekdays, so you have just enough time to walk the main paths before the gates close at sunset. Use the gift shop or cafe on site for a warm drink if it gets chilly.

  2. 17:04

    Kenefick Park

Walk 9 minutes southwest from the garden to Kenefick Park. This spot sits at the southwest point of the area, offering a clear view of the sky. Position yourself to face west to catch the final moments of the day.

  3. 17:19

    Kenefick Park

Watch the sun set toward the WSW. The light fades quickly, but the transition from golden hour to twilight is the main event here.

Local tip

The gardens close at 17:00 on weekdays. If you arrive later than an hour before sunset, you may not have enough time to enter and walk the paths before closing. Check the route for transport if you are coming from downtown.
