Timeline
15:15
Start your evening at Momotaro Onsen. The facility opens at 10:00, giving you plenty of time to settle in before the main event. Use this time to explore the indoor jacuzzi-style baths and get comfortable in the changing rooms. The entrance fee is ¥900.
16:45
Move to the rotemburo (outdoor onsen). At this point, the golden light begins to fill the sky, casting a warm hue over the outdoor area. Soak in the natural waters while watching the light shift. The sun is setting toward the WSW, offering a clear view of the horizon.
17:15
Stay in the rotemburo for the sunset itself. As the sun dips below the horizon at 17:15, the temperature may drop slightly, but the contrast between the warm water and the cooling air is part of the experience. Let the day end with the sky turning deep blue.
18:00
Finish your soak and relax in the hotel area or a quiet corner of the onsen. The facility remains open until 23:00, so there is no rush. Use this time to reflect on the day and enjoy the lingering warmth of the baths before heading out.
Local tip
Check the bus route from Okayama Station to Kurotadanchi-mae if you are not staying at the hotel. The onsen is closed on Mondays, so plan accordingly.
