Timeline

  1. 15:56

    Roka

Eat traditional home-style Greek food at Roka. The staff make you feel like long-time friends, and it is one of the best places to eat before the evening rush.

  2. 16:41

    Amoudi Bay

Walk down to Amoudi Bay. It is the most picturesque bay on Thira, surrounded by barren cliffs and a lovely promenade. You will likely join the crowd gathering for the sunset, so find a spot on the promenade early.

  3. 17:26

    Amoudi Bay

Watch the sun set toward the WSW. The light fades quickly here, so enjoy the moment while it lasts.

  4. 17:56

    Fino

End the evening with a cocktail at Fino. It is a cocktail bar and restaurant open until 01:30, perfect for digesting your meal and watching the bay transition into night.

Local tip

Amoudi Bay tends to get crowded for the sunset. If you want a quieter swim afterwards, check the route to Armeni Bay, which is harder to reach and far less crowded.
