Stand at the edge of the podest. At 16:00, the sun sets toward the SW, casting long shadows across the empty platform.

End the evening with Thai food at King Kong Thai Food, a short walk away.
Local tip
The podest is just a concrete slab now. The MIG-21 was sold in 2014, so bring your own imagination for the plane.
