The Museum of Art and Digital Entertainment
Start at The Museum of Art and Digital Entertainment. It opens at 12:00 on Fridays, making it the perfect quiet start to your afternoon. Spend an hour exploring the arcade games and console history before the crowds arrive.

Walk 14 minutes to Jack London Square. Stop at Huangcheng Noodle House (1 min walk from the square) for a quick bowl of chewy Chongqing Street Noodles. It is open until 21:00 and serves authentic, no-fuss Chinese food.
16:34
Head to Lake Merritt. It is a 22-minute walk from the museum, but you can take a short ride or walk the scenic path. Arrive just in time to see the sun set toward the WSW. The tidal lagoon is surrounded by parkland and offers a great view of the city skyline as the light fades.
17:34
End your evening at Lake Chalet. It is right on the lake (5 min walk from the main path) and open until 20:00 on Sundays. Order a drink and enjoy the view as the last golden light hits the water.
Local tip
The museum is closed on weekends except for specific hours, so check the route if you are visiting on a Saturday or Sunday. Lake Chalet is a great spot for a drink, but the food is mediocre, so focus on the view and the wine list.
