Timeline

  1. 18:19

    Peguyangan Spring

Start the descent down the 700 blue stairs. The footing can be precarious, so wear proper shoes. The climb down is not for those who dislike heights, but the scenery on the way down is magnificent.

  2. 18:44

    Peguyangan Spring

Reach the small spring at the bottom. This is the key moment. The view from the base looks up the cliff face, catching the last golden light before the sun dips below the horizon toward the WSW.

  3. 19:04

    Peguyangan Spring

Begin the climb back up. It is a steep ascent, so take your time. Once you reach the top, the evening air will be cool and the light has faded.

Local tip

There are no food or drink shops listed near the spring. Bring water with you for the climb. After you return to the top, check the route for a place to eat dinner or have a drink nearby.
