Best time: 15 OctoberAbout 90 min

Timeline

  1. 17:10

    Bratwursthäusle

Pick up a Bratwurst snack at Bratwursthäusle. It is one of the most frequented spots in the old city centre, so go early to secure a seat or take it to go. The restaurant opens at 10:00, which is well before this step.

  2. 17:55

    St Lawrence Church

Walk 30 minutes from the Historic tram depot area to St Lawrence Church (Lorenzkirche). This is the focus of the south-side old town. Arrive just in time to find a spot inside or outside to watch the sun set toward the WSW.

  3. 19:10

    Restaurant Heilig-Geist-Spital

End the evening at Restaurant Heilig-Geist-Spital. Sit in the historic dining room over the river Pegnitz for local cuisine. The restaurant is open from 11:30 to 23:00, so it is ready for your post-sunset dinner.

Local tip

St Lawrence Church is a large building. If you want to see the famous 18m tall Tabernacle inside, check if the church is open for visitors during the golden hour, as opening times for the interior may differ from the general area access.
