Timeline
15:14
Grab a coffee or a light bite at Salon Regina. It’s a reliable spot in Gostenhof to settle in before the walk. Check that it is open on your day of visit, as hours vary by weekday.
16:24
Memorium Nuremberg Trials and Courtroom 600
Walk 2 km west from the neighborhood to the Memorial Nuremberg Trials and Courtroom 600. The building itself is the anchor of the story here. Stand outside and look toward the WSW as the sun dips below the horizon. The silence of the site contrasts sharply with the weight of the history inside.
17:24
Head back toward Gostenhof to Schanzenbräu Schankwirtschaft. It is a short walk from the memorial. Order a locally-brewed beer in the beer garden. The atmosphere is relaxed and distinctly local, a good place to decompress after the intensity of the memorial.
18:14
Finish the evening at Palais Schaumburg. This gastropub has been an institution for over 20 years and is popular with those who prefer a slightly more alternative vibe. It is especially good if you want vegetarian options or just a solid, hearty meal after dark.
