Timeline
16:03
Sip coffee and settle in at Lynn Canyon Café. It is right at the park entrance, so you can grab a seat and wait out the last minutes of daylight before the golden hour begins.
16:28
Walk nine minutes to End of the Line General Store. Pick up a sandwich or baked goods to eat while you walk. The shop is open until 20:00 in winter, so it is fully stocked.
16:48
Head to Lynn Canyon Park. The suspension bridge and forested slopes catch the low winter sun beautifully. The golden light starts at 16:48, casting long shadows through the trees.
17:33
Finish at Lynn Headwaters Regional Park. Walk across the river to the picnic tables near the parking lot. The light fades quickly after sunset, so use this time to relax and digest your snack.
Local tip
The walk between the café and the general store is short, but the path to the park viewing spot is steep. Wear sturdy shoes.
