Stay put for the peak moment. The sun is setting toward the NW, casting long shadows across the reservoir. It is the perfect time to take in the view of Capilano Lake and the distant peaks.

Walk down to the Capilano Fish Hatchery. The glass walls allow you to see the salmon jumping up the ladder. The lighting inside the displays changes as the natural light fades, offering a calm end to the outdoor portion.
Local tip
The park is free. Hours are 7AM-10PM in July, so you have plenty of time. Wear layers as it gets cooler near the water after sunset.
