Timeline

Grab an ice cream at Krave Kulture. It is a short walk from the bridge entrance and perfect for cooling down before the walk. The shop is open until 18:00, so you have plenty of time.
16:03
Enter Capilano Suspension Bridge. Walk across the 137 m span and explore the Treetops and Cliffwalk. The golden light hits the rainforest canopy beautifully in the late afternoon. Check the route for transport if you are coming from downtown.
16:48
Find a spot on the Cliffwalk or near the bridge railing to watch the golden light fade. The sun sets toward the WSW, casting long shadows over the Capilano River canyon.
17:18
End your evening with a drink at Kokomo. It is an American restaurant just a 15-minute walk from the bridge. It is open until 19:00 on weekdays and 18:00 on weekends, making it a cozy place to unwind after the walk.
Local tip
The bridge can get busy. Arriving an hour before golden light helps you secure a good viewing spot without the crowds. If you prefer a pub atmosphere over a restaurant, Sailor Hagar's Brew Pub near Lonsdale Quay is also open late and offers a great selection of local beers.
