Walk south along the soft sand. Long Beach is very long, so if you walk far enough away from the main resort clusters, you can still find yourself alone with a clear view toward the WSW.

Watch the sun sink toward the WSW. On 15 January, the sky turns golden starting around 17:06, and the sun dips below the horizon at 17:37. The blue water reflects the fading light as the day ends.
Local tip
The beach is less steep than the city shore, so it is pleasant to walk upon even as the tide changes. Check the route if you need to return north.
