Walk to King Park Beach. The sand is modest, but the view of the Newport Bridge is excellent. Find a spot near the picnic tables or the edge of the water to watch the sun dip below the horizon.

Head to Scales & Shells for dinner. This strictly seafood spot is just a short walk from the beach. Order grilled fish, mussels marinara, or linguine with clams. The kitchen is open until 21:00 on weekdays and 22:00 on weekends, so you will have time to eat before it gets too late.

Finish the evening at O'Brien's Pub. It is right next door and features an outdoor patio with a fountain. If the weather is cool, move inside by the fire. The pub serves food and drinks until 01:00, making it a perfect, relaxed end to the night.
Local tip
Scales & Shells is closed on Tuesdays. Check their hours if you are visiting then. O'Brien's Pub is open year-round, but the outdoor patio is seasonal.
