Grab a drink at Gallow Green. This garden restaurant and bar in the McKittrick Hotel is perfect for the hopeless romantics. It opens at 16:00 on weekdays, giving you plenty of time to settle in before the climb.

Walk to the Vessel in Hudson Yards. You have to bring a friend because solo visitors are not allowed. Start your ascent of the 16-story honeycomb structure to secure the best vantage point.

Watch the sunset from the top. The structure offers great views of the surrounding area and the Hudson River as the sun sets toward the W.

Stroll down to High Line Park. This elevated park built on a defunct railway is just a short walk away and offers a peaceful place to digest the view and the drink.
Local tip
The Vessel requires admission tickets and a companion. Check the route to 34 St–Hudson Yards if you are taking the subway. Gallow Green is closed during winter months, so verify its opening status if visiting outside the warm season.
