Timeline
18:50
Start at the Greenbelt Nature Center. It is the best place to orient yourself in the vast 2,800 acres before heading out. Since there are no food or drink shops in the immediate context, use this time to check the map and prepare for the walk.
19:20
Walk northwest to Willowbrook Park. The park is a large green space with a carousel. Find a spot on the edge facing west to catch the final light.
19:35
Watch the sunset. In April, the sun sets toward the WNW at 19:35, casting a warm glow over the park and the carousel.
Local tip
The Greenbelt is open dawn to dusk. Willowbrook Park is just outside the main Greenbelt boundary, so ensure you have a way back to the S54 or S57 bus lines if needed.
Check before you go
- The Greenbelt is open from dawn to dusk.
- Check the S54 or S57 bus schedules for your return trip from Rockland Avenue & Brielle Avenue.
