Walk the paths and find a grassy spot facing west in Flushing Meadows–Corona Park. The large public park offers wide open spaces and two lakes, perfect for relaxing as the day winds down.

Watch the sun set toward the W. The golden light starts at 17:37, giving you a beautiful, warm glow over the trees and lakes as the sky changes color.

Head to Henan Feng Wei for dinner. It is nothing fancy but quite authentic. Get the stir-fried cumin lamb biang biang noodles. The lamb soup is excellent as well.
Local tip
The park is popular with residents to relax and play when the weather is nice, so it may be busy in the late afternoon. The restaurant is open until 21:00, so you have plenty of time after sunset.
