Timeline

  1. 06:12

    Radnor Lake

Arrive at the Radnor Lake Visitor Center. The trails are open at sunrise, but the Visitor Center opens at 9 AM on weekdays and 8 AM on weekends. Since sunrise is at 6:57 AM, you will be entering the trails before the center opens. Park in the main lot and head straight to the trailhead to secure a good spot away from the crowds.

  2. 06:57

    Radnor Lake

Watch the sunrise over the lake. The water is calm and the surrounding forest is still. This is the core moment. Stay for the golden light that follows immediately after.

  3. 07:27

    Radnor Lake

Take a short walk on the main trail loop as the light improves. The trails are well-maintained and offer easy access to the water's edge. Enjoy the quiet atmosphere before the day hikers arrive.

Local tip

The Visitor Center hours vary by day. Check the Radnor Lake website or call ahead to confirm if the center is open when you arrive, as you may need to park and enter the trails without using the visitor facilities if it is before opening time.

Check before you go

  • The Visitor Center is open Sun-Thu 9AM-5PM and Fri-Sat 8AM-4:30PM. Sunrise is at 6:57 AM, so the center will be closed when you arrive for the best light.
  • The trails are open from 6 AM to sunset. You can access the trails directly even if the Visitor Center is closed.
