    The Stage

Grab a drink at The Stage. This two-floor honky tonk in the center of downtown offers good music nightly. It is open until 02:30, so you have plenty of time before the evening rush.

  2. 16:25

    Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park

Walk north from downtown to Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park. This state park stretches out in front of the state capital and features a giant map of the state and monuments recounting history. Arrive here to find a spot with a clear view west.

  3. 16:55

    Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park

Watch the sun set toward the WSW. The light will hit the monuments and the Capitol building beautifully as the day ends.

  4. 17:25

    The Arcade

Head back toward the city center and wander through The Arcade. This open-air two-level arcade runs between 4th Avenue North and 5th Avenue North. While it caters heavily to lunch crowds, the space remains open and atmospheric in the evening.

  5. 17:55

    Tootsie's Orchid Lounge

End your night at Tootsie's Orchid Lounge. One of the few honky tonks on lower Broad that looks like it has been there for half a century, it is where many major country stars got their starts. It is open until 03:00.
