Stand at 能登歴史公園[国分寺地区] and watch the sun rise directly behind Nanao Castle Ruins. This alignment happens between 19 Dec and 24 Dec, around 07:00 local time. The view of the bay and the town is gorgeous on a clear day.

Return to Nanao Castle Ruins for coffee or breakfast once the first shops open. Enjoy the morning light over the stone wall and the bay before heading back down.
