Timeline
14:00
Grab a beer and a snack at the Seehaus beer garden. With 2,500 seats by a small lake, it is spacious enough to find a quiet corner even on busy afternoons. The boathouse and surrounding structures are historic, designed by Gabriel von Seidl in the late 19th century.
14:45
Walk into the English Garden proper. Head south from the Seehaus toward the deer park area. The path is flat and well-maintained, offering a gentle stroll away from the main roads.
15:30
End your walk at the Hirschau beer garden. Located at the south end of the deer park, this spot has 1,700 seats and is rarely crowded. It is a peaceful place to sit and reflect on your walk, connected by a footpath beneath the busy Isarring.
Local tip
The Hirschau is less touristy than the Seehaus. If you want to avoid crowds, aim for the Hirschau first or later in the afternoon when the Seehaus may be busier.
