Timeline

  1. 12:00

    Chez Fred

Pick up a fresh pastry. Chez Fred is a very good bakery with fresh pastries every day, located under the residential building. It is just a short walk from the park.

  2. 12:30

    Saga

Browse the books. Saga is a nearby bookshop. Note that it is only open Thursday through Saturday from 12:00 to 18:00, so if you are visiting on a weekday, skip this step and stroll through the park instead.

  3. 14:00

    Dance lessons near the river

Join the dance. During the summer (May to August), you can drop in the municipal greenhouse any evening for salsa, tango, country, or line dancing. It is free. Check the website for hours and details before you go.

Local tip

Most of these spots are clustered near Parc Georges-Saint-Pierre. If Saga is closed, Encore Books and Records is a larger option nearby, open until 19:00 on weekdays and 21:00 on Thursdays and Fridays.

Check before you go
