Timeline
19:10
Start with a drink at La Casa de Becho. This spot is steeped in musical history, where Gerardo Matos Rodriguez composed "La Cumparsita" and where candombe music still echoes.
19:40
Torre de las Telecomunicaciones
Walk up to the Torre de las Telecomunicaciones. Spend the next twenty minutes on the viewing platform. As the sun dips toward the WSW, you will have a clear view of the city transitioning from day to night.
20:30
Head to the Gran Parque Central area for dinner. By this time it is fully dark. Pizzería Braga is open late, serving sandwiches until 01:00, which fits perfectly for a post-sunset meal.
21:00
End the evening with a drink at Ludmila House. This pub is open 24/7, so you can stay as late as you like to let the night settle in.
Local tip
The walk from the tower to the stadium area takes about 55 minutes. If you prefer a quicker route, check the local transport routes.
Check before you go
- La Casa de Becho does not list opening hours, so call ahead or expect it to be open in the late afternoon.
- The Torre de las Telecomunicaciones offers free guided tours in Spanish. If you do not speak Spanish, you may need to explore the viewing platform on your own.
