Head up to Fortaleza General Artigas. The fort sits on the top of Cerro Hill and offers a fantastic view of the city. Note that the Cerro district is reportedly not safe to wander around in, so stick to the fort area and be aware of your surroundings.

Stay for a moment as the light fades. The fort is open in the evening, but check the specific opening hours for closing time to ensure you don't get locked in or miss the final entry.
Local tip
The Cerro district is somewhat of a shantytown and reportedly not safe to wander around in. It is possible to visit the fort, but do not wander the surrounding streets. Check the route if you need transport back down the hill.
