Timeline
18:00
Pick up a burger and a special ice cream from Blue Room. It is self-service and open late, so you can grab a quick bite before heading out. The walk from the cathedral is short.
18:30
Walk east to Fort Jesus. This is the best spot to watch the sun dip toward the WSW. The fort’s walls frame the port perfectly as the golden light fades.
19:10
Head back toward the center for dinner. Shehnai serves a long menu of Indian cuisine with plenty of meat and vegetarian options. It is a reliable spot for a proper meal as the city wakes up at night.
20:10
End the night at Casablanca Club. It is one of the largest clubs in Mombasa with two dance floors and four bars. It is open around the clock, so you can stay as late as you like. Reservation is obligatory.
Local tip
Shehnai is closed on Mondays. Check if your visit falls on a Monday and choose another place like Mubins Cafe or Island Dishes for dinner instead.
