17:25
Grab a hot Arabic tea or fresh juice at Jahazi Coffee House. It is open from 08:00 to 19:30, so you will have plenty of time before the sun goes down. The café is just a five minute walk from Fort Jesus.

Walk down to Massai Beach. It is a thirty six minute walk from the anchor point. This beach faces the water and offers a clear view of the horizon to the west, where the sun will set.
18:40
Watch the sun sink toward the WSW. The golden light begins around 18:11, but the actual sunset is at 18:40. The sky will turn orange and red over the Indian Ocean.
19:25
End your evening with a stroll through Uhuru Garden. It is a short walk south from the beach area. The garden is a peaceful place to reflect after watching the sunset.
Local tip
The walk from the coffee house to the beach takes about thirty minutes. Bring a light jacket as it gets breezy by the water after sunset.
