Timeline

Start at Mombasa Go-Kart. It is the central hub for this area. If you need to rent a bike to explore the nearby trails efficiently, this is a good place to ask about local options, though the context notes walking or biking is available in the forest area.

Bamburi Forest Trails and Butterfly Park
Walk 13 minutes SW to Bamburi Forest Trails and Butterfly Park. This is the most visited forested area in Bamburi, covering 100 hectares with many ponds. It is a pleasant, shaded walk for locals and tourists alike. You can explore on foot or by bike.
15:15
Walk 13 minutes from the forest (or backtrack towards the anchor area) to Yul's. It is a pizza restaurant serving international cuisine, barbecue, and homemade ice cream. Open daily from 10:00 to 24:00, so it is perfect for a late afternoon snack or early dinner.
15:45
Walk 11 minutes to Big Tree. This dance club is directly at the sea front. Even if you are not looking to dance, it has a very good atmosphere and is a great spot to stand by the water and enjoy the sea breeze and evening light before it gets dark.
Local tip
The forest trails are best explored in the cooler afternoon hours. Yul's is open late, so you can linger over ice cream. Big Tree is right on the sea front, so you get the ocean view immediately.
