Timeline

  1. 08:00

    CafeNeto

Grab the best coffee in town. CafeNeto is a small café near the town center that opens at 08:00 on Sundays through Thursdays. Order a mid-size latte and settle in for a quiet start before the day gets busy.

  2. 08:30

    Alpaca Farm

Walk to the Alpaca Farm. Located just off the main road with clear signage, this is the largest alpaca farm outside of South America. It is open for tours and entry during the morning. You can pet the animals, ride them on a guided tour, or simply browse the souvenir shop selling alpaca products.

  3. 09:30

    Har Gamal Viewpoint

Head to Har Gamal Viewpoint for the crater view. This viewpoint is excellent for seeing the vastness of the desert landscape. While the description notes it is great for sunset, the morning light offers a clear, bright perspective of the crater’s edge without the crowds that gather later in the day.

Local tip

Check the route to Har Gamal Viewpoint from the Alpaca Farm, as the walk is about 32 minutes and goes in an ESE direction. The cafe is open until 23:00 on weekdays, so you have plenty of time for coffee before the farm visit.
