Begin the hike into the narrow crevices. The 'cracks' are difficult trails that climb up the cliffsides. It is a strenuous 5-hour round-trail, so pace yourself and bring plenty of water.
11:00
Reach the small canyon section where deep, cool water fills the stream bed year-round. This is the perfect spot to rest your legs and cool off in the shade.
13:00
Start your return journey. Keep an eye on the time as the full round trip takes five hours. Exit the firing zone carefully once you reach the dirt road.
Local tip
The stream water is somewhat murky and the hike is physically demanding. Ensure you have sturdy footwear and sufficient water for the 5-hour round trip.
