Walk to the South Hill Complex. Find a spot on the grass near the softball complex or the edge of the playground. The open space offers an unobstructed view toward the WSW where the sun will dip below the horizon.

Watch the sunset. The sky will shift from bright blue to gold and orange as the sun sets toward the WSW.

Stay for a few minutes in the fading light. The basketball court and tennis courts are quiet now, and the playground is empty. It is a peaceful end to the afternoon.
Local tip
Cherry On Top is only open Wednesday through Saturday. If you are visiting on a Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday, check the route to a nearby bakery or cafe that is open.
