Head to Lady Bowen Falls. As the largest permanent waterfall in the area, it drops 160 metres from the Darren Mountain Range. The continuous rain in Milford Sound keeps the falls flowing steadily throughout the day.

Finish your walk with a short 10-minute trek east to Bowen Hill. This summit provides a higher vantage point to look back over the sound and the falls you just visited.
Local tip
The area is prone to rain, so bring a light waterproof layer. The waterfalls are most impressive when the rain is falling.
