Grab a drink at Bar Bianco. It’s cash only, but the energy is high and the service is quick. It’s a five-minute walk from the Triennale, so you can stop here on your way to the Duomo.

Walk to the Duomo piazza. The cathedral is a massive, late Gothic confection in white marble, festooned with spires and statues. You can admire the facade free from the piazza. Position yourself where the sun hits the marble just as it dips below the horizon.

End the night at Biffi, an old-fashioned restaurant and café inside the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele. It is open until midnight, so you can stay for a drink or a late meal surrounded by the stunning glass roof and cupola.
Local tip
The Duomo is a five-minute walk from Bar Bianco. The Galleria is right next to the Duomo, making this a very short, flat stroll between stops.
