Despite the name, the theatre rarely performs in English and almost never anything by the Bard. Foro Shakespeare is a performing arts venue with three stages performing contemporary drama in Spanish by latino playwrights. The main stage (Primera) seats 190 patrons, Espacio Urgente seats 58, and the smallest space, Teatrino, seats just 38 in a very intimate setting. Foreign visitors will get the most out of it if they are fluent in Spanish and knowledgable in Hispanic culture and customs.

Classy traditional bar with a 1900s look and feel. Innovative and amazingly prepares cocktails. Named by 50 Best as the number 1 best bar in the world. Built in 1953 by José María Dávila, this is one of the main venues for dramas and plays in Mexico City. On the façade of the building is a mosaic created by Diego Rivera, illustrating the history of theater and depicting the Mexican comedian Cantinflas as Robin Hood.

A "fronton" is a place where jai alai is played, and it's an unusual game that's worth seeking out for the experience. If you're not into sports as cultural experiences, then you might come here for a concert, or to sample the Spanish cuisine and innovative cocktails at the Zesta Punta restaurant, housed in the Fronton.

The largest stadium in Latin America is also the eighth biggest soccer stadium in the world. Built in 1961, it has an official capacity of 95,500 but frequently packing in several thousand more. It's the home of El Tri, the Mexico men's national team, and also home to two of the country's most famous soccer top-tier professional clubs: Club América and Cruz Azul. It also serves as venue for concerts and for occasional NFL regular-season games outside the United States. Prices for soccer usually start from M$200 up to M$600 for field level seats, but will be higher for national team matches. Beware of resellers, as they will often sell fake tickets. The stadium is undergoing renovations as it prepares to host the opening games of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Estadio Olimpico de Ciudad Universitaria
Simply known as "Estadio de C.U." Located south of the city, this was the site of the 1968 Olympic opening ceremony. It is home to Club Universidad Nacional, more often known as Pumas, a soccer team operated by the National University (UNAM). The Pumas began as an amateur team of UNAM students, but are now a top-tier professional team in the Liga MX (though still owned and operated by the university). The stadium hosts several sports, mainly soccer and American football.
