Timeline
17:33
Grab a coffee and avocado toast at Cafe Toscano. It is open late, so you have plenty of time to settle in before heading out.
17:48
Walk seven minutes east to Lago de Chapultepec. Lounge by the shore or rent a paddleboat to watch the water as the light begins to soften.
18:18
Stay at the lake shore for the sunset. The sun sets toward the WSW, casting a warm glow over the Chapultepec area.
18:38
End the evening at Parque Aztlan, a modern urban theme park just seventeen minutes southwest of the lake. It is open late and offers a lively atmosphere to wind down.
Local tip
The zoo is very crowded on weekends. If you are visiting on a Saturday or Sunday, consider starting your walk earlier or skipping the zoo entirely to avoid the crowds.
