Walk to Playa Norte. The beach is along the boardwalk and features the Fishermen's Memorial, a bronze replica of a pulmonia taxi, and a monument to the Pacific Brewery. It is great for swimming and offers a clear view toward the west.

Head to the Miramar Condominium. This beachfront tower is where drug lord Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzmán was arrested in 2014. You cannot enter the building, but it serves as a popular photo opportunity and viewing point for the sunset.

End your evening at El Pargo y La Vaca. This bar and grill restaurant offers excellent service and is a great spot to stop after a long walk on the beach. It is open until 22:00.
Local tip
The sun sets toward the WSW on this date. The Miramar Condominium is the primary viewing spot, but you can also view the sunset from Playa Norte if you prefer a more relaxed beach setting.
