Grab a bite at El Presidio Cocina de México. The courtyard is in a restored 100+ year old building and serves amazing Mexican food. It is open from 13:00 to 22:30, so you have plenty of time to eat before the light changes.

Walk to Olas Altas Beach. This lovely curving beach serves the residents of the Centro Historico and is only four blocks west of the Plaza Machado. Find a spot on the sand or the edge of the Malecon to watch the sky.

End the evening at La Querencia Bar. It offers decently-priced beer and outdoor seating with live music on Saturdays. It opens at 17:00, so it is ready for you as the sun sets.
Local tip
The sun sets toward the WSW. For the best view, face west from the beach. Check the route if you need to navigate from the restaurant to the beach.
