Arrive at Times Square early. The area is less chaotic before the midday rush. Walk toward One Times Square (a 3-minute walk SSW) to see the building that started it all, originally the headquarters for The New York Times.
09:45
Head to Blue Fin, just a 3-minute walk from the anchor. It is open from 7:00 AM, making it a reliable spot for a fresh seafood lunch or sushi before the afternoon crowds arrive. The communal table and sushi bar offer a quick, high-quality bite.
10:30
Walk to Midtown Comics, about 6 minutes away. Browse the two floors of comics, manga, and collectibles. It is a massive store and a great contrast to the neon lights outside, offering a niche cultural stop in the heart of the district.
11:00
Return to One Times Square. Stand in the plaza and look up. Even in the day, the scale of the surrounding buildings and the sheer density of the Theater District is impressive. You can see the Palace Theater to the NE and the New Victory Theater to the SW, framing the square.
