Pick up a slice of pizza from Front Street Pizza. It is a quick stop just a short walk from the viewpoint, perfect for grabbing something hot and handheld before the sun goes down.

Walk to the Brooklyn Bridge Viewpoint. It is a fifteen-minute stroll from the pizza place. Find a spot on the banks or the edge of the park facing west. The sun sets directly behind the Brooklyn Bridge structure during this window, creating a striking silhouette against the sky.

End the evening at The River Café. This historic restaurant sits on a former coffee barge under the bridge. It is an open-air setting that offers a serene, elevated view of the Manhattan skyline now lit up against the night sky, providing a calm contrast to the earlier crowd.
Local tip
The sunset alignment happens between May 18 and May 28, and again from July 14 to July 25. Arrive at the viewpoint at least fifteen minutes before the moment to secure a good spot. The River Café is upscale; check if you need a reservation well in advance.
