Timeline

  1. 18:45

    Nintendo World Store

Browse the Nintendo World Store. It is a two-story specialty store selling videogames, t-shirts, and plushies. The Pokecenter is the most popular aspect. Arrive early to beat the crowds before heading up.

  2. 19:15

Top of the Rock Observation Deck

Head to the Top of the Rock Observation Deck on the 70th floor. This narrow deck affords uninterrupted views over Central Park and the city skyline. Arrive just before sunset to secure a good spot for the golden light and the transition into night.

  3. 20:05

    Yakitori Totto

Walk to Yakitori Totto for dinner. This popular spot serves Japanese food on sticks. Order cold appetizers, hot yakitori, and bowls. Be mindful that sake is charged by the cup and is expensive, but the tea is excellent.

Local tip

Yakitori Totto is very popular. If you arrive exactly at opening for dinner (5:30 PM on weekdays or 5:30 PM on weekends), you might get a table without a long wait. The lunch menu ends at 4 PM, so plan accordingly if you are hungry before the sunset.
