Timeline
14:30
Arrive when the museum opens at 09:30. The early visit lets you explore the costume collections in quiet before the crowds arrive. The building itself is an architectural award winner from the 1970s, so take a moment to appreciate the exterior before heading out.
15:30
Walk to Restaurante Siam for lunch. It is an 11-minute walk from the museum. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with a tranquil atmosphere, offering a pleasant break from Spanish fare. It is open until 16:00, so you have plenty of time to eat and digest before the golden hour.
18:00
Head to Faro de Moncloa, a 12-minute walk from the restaurant. Take the elevator up the 92-meter tower to the observation deck. You have 30 minutes to enjoy the view, but you will likely want to stay longer to watch the light change.
19:30
Return to the Museo del Traje gardens. The golden light starting at 17:30 (60 minutes from the moment) bathes the well-maintained lawns and fountains in a warm glow. It is the perfect spot to sit and reflect on the day’s visit.
Local tip
The museum is free on Sundays and national holidays, but since this plan is for a weekday, remember the €3 entry fee. The gardens are free to access if you just want to sit outside.
