Head up to the Macau Tower viewing platform. The outside platform offers the clearest unobstructed views. Arrive early to find a spot facing west, where the sun will dip below the horizon.

After the light fades, walk back down to the tower base. The café is still open and provides a warm place to decompress and review the photos from your vantage point.
Local tip
The tower's outdoor platform is exposed. Bring a light jacket as the wind picks up near the water at sunset.
