Walk 17 minutes SSE from Harner (near UGC) to Esplanade de Fourvière. The esplanade is the best viewpoint over the city, and on a clear day, you can see Mont Blanc.

Watch the sun set toward the WSW. This is the main event. The panoramic view is best here.

Walk back down 17 minutes NNW to Harner for a late dinner or dessert if you want to extend the evening. It is open until 23:00.
Local tip
