Walk to Fox Plaza. It is located at the intersection of Olympic Blvd and Avenue of the Stars. Find the entrance and take the elevator to the top floor to access the public rooftop area.

Stand on the roof as the golden light begins at 17:45. The sun sets toward the west, casting a warm glow on the postmodern architecture of the 20th Century Studios headquarters.

Walk down to Westwood Village Memorial Park and head to Saffron and Rose Ice Cream. It is only a five minute walk. Enjoy some Persian-style ice cream in unusual flavors like date or rosewater to wind down after the view.
Local tip
The rooftop access at Fox Plaza is open to the public, but security may ask you to wait for an elevator if it is busy. The golden light lasts until sunset at 18:19, giving you a comfortable window for photos.
