Timeline

  1. 15:27

    Nardi's

Grab a drink at Nardi's pub. The pink drunk bus picks up and drops off here, and local bands play live.

  2. 15:57

    The Beach

Walk east to The Beach. Lifeguards are on duty during daylight, so you can safely swim, surf, or body board between the flags before the sun goes down.

  3. 16:57

    The Beach

Watch the sun set toward the WSW. The golden light starts around 16:15, so you will have about forty minutes of warm light to enjoy the view before dark.

  4. 17:42

    Roberto’s Dolce Vita

Head to Roberto’s Dolce Vita for dinner. Authentic Italian food is served with great service. Weekdays are best to avoid the crowds, and parking on a side street nearby is recommended.

Local tip

Badges for the beach cost $5-6 for the day and are sold by checkers on the beach, though usually not until the last week in June. If you need one early, go to Borough Hall between 8:30AM and 3:30PM weekdays.

Check before you go

  • Roberto’s Dolce Vita is open May-September: Mon-Fri 5PM-10PM; Sat Sun 5-11PM.
  • Lifeguards at The Beach are on duty until 4 or 5PM during daylight.
