Walk to HMS Belfast to watch the sun set over the river. The ship sits on the south bank, offering an unobstructed view toward the southwest where the sun dips below the horizon.

Head to Padella for fresh handmade pasta. It is located right by the entrance of Borough Market, just a short walk from the river. The open kitchen lets you watch the chefs work as you eat.

Finish the evening with a drink at The Rake. This tiny pub is attached to Borough Market and specializes in bottled beers. It shares its gents' toilets with the market, so the atmosphere is distinctly local.
Local tip
Padella has no seating for takeaway and the queue can be long. If you prefer a sit-down meal with a view of the river after your golden hour walk, The Garrison nearby offers gastro-pub food and a cinema downstairs.
