Timeline
15:18
Grab a coffee and pastry at Подлеморье. It opens at 09:00, so it is well open before the afternoon chill sets in. The café is adjacent to the museum, making it a easy first stop.
16:18
Walk 18 minutes SSW to the Baikal husky center. Use the time to settle in. In winter, you can watch the dogs prepare or simply enjoy the quiet of the kennel before the light changes.
17:18
Watch the sunset. The sun sets toward the SW at 17:18. From the center, you have a clear view of the light fading over the water and the surrounding landscape. The golden light starts at 16:20, so the sky will be glowing by the time the sun touches the horizon.
18:03
End the evening with a seafood dinner at Restaurant Sval. It is located near the Retro-Park/Osipov Museum, which is on the way back if you head that direction, or you can take a short walk from the husky center. The restaurant is open until 23:00, offering a warm, wooden interior and beautifully made servings to warm up after the cold sunset.
Local tip
The walk from the husky center to the museum area is about 18 minutes. If you prefer to stay near the husky center after sunset, check the route to the nearest open food spot, as the options listed are clustered near the museum.
