Timeline
18:43
Start with a coffee at Linha d'Água café near the Menina calçando meia sculpture. It is open until 21:00, so you have plenty of time to settle in before the evening rush.
19:28
Walk 6 minutes from the sculpture area to the main park grounds. Stroll through the formal gardens toward Miradouro Parque Eduardo VII. The park is open all day, so you can wander freely as the afternoon light begins to fade.
20:13
Find your spot on the terrace for sunset. On 15 April, the sun sets at 20:13 toward the WNW, casting long shadows over the city and water. The expansive views from Miradouro Parque Eduardo VII are at their best in this fading light.
20:58
Head to Eleven for dinner. This Michelin-starred restaurant is located in Jardim Amália Rodrigues, just an 8-minute walk from the park. Reservations are essential as it fills quickly for the 19:30 service.
22:13
End the night with a drink at the Tivoli Hotel Sky Bar. It is a 13-minute walk from the park area. This rooftop bar is a small secret with youngish music and superb views, perfect for staying out late.
Local tip
The park is large. Use the paths near the Estufa Fria greenhouse to find quieter spots if the main terrace is crowded. Eleven requires booking well in advance.
